GARY DRUCKER (1946 - 2023) was
an exceptionally gifted designer and merchant who made major contributions to the elevation of American department stores in the late 20th Century.

His primary focus was home-furnishings in Macys and Bloomingdales. He used his positions to expand the public perception
of how a home might look. He introduced a wide range of accessories from British
Portraits to beaded African ancestor figures and fetishes.

Other popular exhibits staged on the furniture floors included:
• Amazon River Tribal Art
• From Bali to Bangkok
• Morocco Market Place
• Sepik River Artifacts
• The Textures of the Southwest.

Gary also highlighted Mid-Century Modern designers from both Europe
